Jahwe(h) = a modern corruption error by Gesenius = he guessed: Jovis, Jupiter, transferred from the Egyptians to the Hebrews = Jahwe(h). (CCCXXXVII) Jahwe(h) is also called “Saturn”. The lunar god Thoth was known as Yahu (or as Jahew). This guy quotes: “Jahve [Jahve] was certainly a volcano-god. As we know, however, Egypt has no volcanoes and the mountains of the Sinai Peninsula have never been volcanic; on the other hand volcanoes which may have been active up to a late period are found along the western border of Arabia... The god Jahve... was probably in no way a remarkable being. A rude, narrow-minded local god, violent and blood-thirsty, he had promised his adherents to give them "a land flowing with milk and honey" and he encouraged them to rid the country of its present inhabitants "with the edge of a sword".”
